LAAOS-4 PPI review request

Posted 29 August 2024 · Listed under Stroke

Patients and public motif, concentric circlesWe are seeking to determine if catheter-based endovascular left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) prevents ischemic stroke or systemic embolism in participants with atrial fibrillation (AF), who remain at high risk of stroke.

We would like to assemble a group of patients with experience of atrial fibrillation who have already had the WATCHMAN FLX Left Atrial Appendage Closure device installed.

Participants would be asked to review all of the available patient-facing documents, adding comments and annotations to make them more patient friendly and easily readable by the target group. Participation is online.

Reimbursement

Participants will need to estimate the time needed to review the documents, then send an invoice after the review has been done. The rate of pay will be £25/hour.

Date required

We plan to undertake this review as soon as public members are available to take part.

Organisation
