We provide a range of training and career development opportunities for all staff involved in clinical research associated with any of the 15 BRC research themes. This includes, developing leadership training, research skills and fellowship funding.
Academic career development hub surveys
In 2025/26, we ran two surveys:
The first examined the impact of BRC Oxford funding on the professional development, research capabilities and career progression of researchers who have received BRC support. The results of this career development impact survey will guide our future career development funding and support.
The aim of the second survey was to help shape our future training to meet our researchers’ professional development needs. We asked them about their priority training areas, the barriers to attending training and how well their substantive employer supports their development. A report outlines the results of this training and development needs survey and how the BRC academic career development team is responding.
