NIHR Development and Skills Enhancement Award (DSE)

The NIHR DSE award is a one-year match-funded award for post-doctoral NIHR Academy Members to gain specific skills and experience to support the next phase of their research career. There are three funding rounds a year. Learn more on NIHR website

Medical Research Council Career Development Awards (CDA)

These awards help post-doctoral researchers to make the transition from post-doctoral researcher to independent investigator. The next round of MRC CD awards opens 24 February and closes 19 April 2023 . Learn more on MRC website

OHSRC Research Grants

Oxfordshire Health Services Research Committee (OHSRC) Research Grants of up to £10,000 are available to staff working within the NHS in Oxfordshire, and provide opportunities for early career researchers, particularly in the areas of Alzheimer’s and cancer research.
