NIHR Learn

NIHR Learn is an online Learning Management System (LMS) and the platform which delivers accredited learning programmes. They offer a range of courses to develop and support your knowledge of clinical research. These include training in Good Clinical Practice, AcoRD, Informed Consent, Laboratory Skills for Researchers, Introduction to Research, Industry workshops and a full GCP glossary. HEE Learning Hub

Health Education England has put together some online resources for healthcare workers on the e-Learning for Healthcare hub (e-LfH). You can access and record a broad range of shareable resources, including existing e-LfH programmes, and resources contributed and uploaded from the user community. The Learning Hub will also encourage discussions to take place around the uploaded learning content and networks to form around areas of shared interest.

University of Oxford

This site provides online Good Clinical Practice training, introduction and refresher. The courses are highly interactive, including a wide variety of exercises, illustrative video dramas and interviews. Both courses are made up of five modules. Free of charge to anyone involved in clinical trials sponsored or hosted by Oxford University or OUH.

Medical Sciences Division (MSD) Skills Training

Provides free transferable and scientific training to Oxford University MSD research students and staff to enhance their communication, research and teaching skills and further their career development. Book through your single sign on.

EQUATOR Network writing workshops

Join the UK EQUATOR Centre’s monthly one-hour practical workshops on all aspects of writing and publishing your academic research delivered remotely via Teams or Zoom. This free workshop series is open to all staff and students of the University of Oxford, Oxford Brookes, and OUH. Registration is required. Free Tools for the Evidence Based Medicine process to improve the quality of evidence. These resources help inform health choices for health professionals, patients and the public.

Royal College of Nursing Library

Home to Europe’s largest nursing-specific collection of books, journals and e-resources. Staff are available via email, webchat and telephone during opening hours (Mon-Fri 9:00-19:00 and Sat 9:00-17:00). Remote training sessions are available via Zoom and Skype and online resources remain available 24/7.

NHS Leadership Academy: The Edward Jenner Programme

Open to all health and care staff, this programme leads to an NHS Leadership Academy award in Leadership Foundations. Highly practical and patient-focused, it’s a great way to understand the purpose, challenges and culture of the NHS. Launch and Foundations modules are now online, free to access and can be studied I your own time.
