Roy Probert
Roy Probert

I am the Senior Communications Manager for the Oxford BRC, as well as being responsible for communications about research for Oxford University Hospitals.

My role consists of promoting the activities of the BRC – whether its research, PPI activities, training or public engagement – through various communications channels, including the media, this BRC website, social media, newsletters, or updates for staff and stakeholders.

I work closely with the Events, Marketing and Engagement Manager to organise public events like talks and Open Days. An important part of my role is coordinating with my communications counterparts in other health research partner organisations.

I joined OUH in 2016 and started in my current role a year later. Previously, I had been a journalist in the UK and Switzerland. Since 2002, I have been a communications and media manager for a number of organisations in the public and third sectors.
