I am the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Manager with the Oxford BRC. As part of the BRC team, I will be overseeing the delivery of the BRC’s EDI strategy, supporting the BRC themes’ EDI coordinators and working with our Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement team to ensure we engage effectively with different communities. I will also be working with the EDI lead at Oxford University Hospitals on some of their EDI activities.
Prior to joining the BRC in 2024, I was the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion lead (Communities Services) for Oxford City Council, where I supported the delivery of the council’s Equality Impact Assessment framework and its EDI strategy, which was selected as a finalist at the Local Government Chronicle awards.
In this role, I managed key partnerships and facilitated training and workshops, which aimed to make the city more inclusive, especially for vulnerable migrants. My work around the Equality Impact Assessment framework enabled the council to voluntarily adopt the socio-economic duty.
I have experience working on toolkits, data and training related to inclusive decision-making and accessibility.
