This is one of a series of Patient and Public Involvement Workshops we are running for patients and members of the public. Places are free but limited and you must register to attend.
A systematic review is a summary of findings from many individual studies looking at a particular research question. Although it may be difficult to see how to involve patients, members of the public and carers, it is increasingly accepted that doing so can add value at all stages of the process and has benefits for all concerned.
This practical workshop will give an overview of what is involved in carrying out a systematic review and how patients and members of the public can take part. It will be run by researchers from the Centre for Evidence Based Medicine and PPI contributors with experience of carrying out systematic reviews.
