Prof Trish Greenhalgh named member of US National Academy of Medicine

Professor Trish Greenhalgh

Professor Trish Greenhalgh, the NIHR Oxford BRC’s Theme Lead for Partnerships for Health, Wealth and Innovation has been named a member of the US National Academy of Medicine (NAM).

Election to the Academy is considered one of the highest honours in the field of health and medicine and recognises individuals who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement and commitment to service.

Prof Greenhalgh, of the University of Oxford’s Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, was chosen for her “major contributions to the study of innovation and knowledge translation in health care and work to raise the profile of qualitative social sciences.”

One hundred new NAM members were named, and Prof Greenhalgh was one of 10 new international members.
