Mid-Term Review

22 September 2014 · Listed under Other News

A panel of international experts met in Oxford in September to undertake a comprehensive mid-term review to assess the science and impact of the Oxford Biomedical Research Centre’s research so far. And to establish new goals for the next two years in anticipation of the next BRC funding competition expected to take place in 2016.

Prior to the meeting, 50 international scientists reviewed each theme’s output. The final report will be based on these findings along with the panel’s feedback on the BRC theme leaders’ presentations.

Professor Channon, Oxford BRC Director,  said that the review marked the start of the process that would help shape the future of research directions beyond the current BRC funding cycle in 2017 and ensure that it continues to support  excellent translational research.

More information on the mid-term review will be posted on the website this year.
