Some conditions can make joints painful and stiff for a long time. We want to understand why this happens and find better ways to treat these conditions. Our research looks at cells and tissue donated by patients. We study these to understand what causes inflammation and scar tissue to continue. We hope this will help us find new treatments that could improve the lives of people living with painful and disabling joint conditions.
We are looking to engage a patient partner with lived experience of conditions that cause joint stiffness including frozen shoulder, knee arthrofibrosis or Dupuytren’s disease. We would ask them to be involved in two 1-hour meetings per year.

Reimbursement
We can offer £27.50/hour plus an additional £5 towards internet costs if the meeting is online.
