We are looking for 10 people to join a Patient Advisory Group to support and advise on research that aims to improve treatment for people living with inflammatory arthritis. The researchers want to find out whether people living with rheumatoid arthritis or psoriatic arthritis can safely reduce how often they take biologic treatment (such as adalimumab) without their arthritis getting worse.
Who can apply?
Anyone aged 18 years or over, living with rheumatoid or psoriatic arthritis, and currently receiving, or has previously received, adalimumab (including biosimilar versions) or another biologic treatment. We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds and communities. You do not need any previous research experience. We are particularly keen to hear from people from ethnic minority backgrounds and LGBTQ+ communities as they are under-represented.
Time commitment
The Patient Advisory Group will provide support and advice throughout the study, which will run for approximately 4 years. Meetings are expected to last for 90 minutes and will be held 3 times a year, mostly online but there may be opportunity to meet in person.
