CHILL Study – Quell Therapeutics Limited

Patients and public motif concentric circlesAn opportunity for patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and systemic sclerosis to find out more and possibly participate in a clinical study of a new treatment.

We are looking for adults aged 18 or over with difficult‑to‑treat rheumatoid arthritis or scleroderma who may be able to take part in the CHILL study, provided they meet full eligibility criteria checked by their doctor. Specifically:

  • You must be an adult (18+).You need to have a diagnosis of difficult‑to‑treat rheumatoid arthritis or scleroderma.
  • You cannot take part if you have medical conditions that could make study procedures unsafe, an active or chronic infection (such as HIV, hepatitis B or active TB), a history of drug or alcohol misuse in the past 2 years, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are taking certain prohibited medicines.

This is a clinical study and participants will need to be reviewed and found to have met the entry criteria to enter the study. If selected the participant will have a total of 12 in person visits (up to 1 year post treatment dose). These visits will include:

  • Maximum 3 x biopsies and fine needle aspiration
  • Maximum 3 x imaging
  • 1 x overnight stay at hospital (but this may be extended if the hospital team think it is necessary).

There would also be a once yearly follow up visit for up to 15 years.
