Personalised medicine

The idea behind personalised medicine is both simple and powerful: delivering the right treatment to the right patient at the right time. Making this a reality, however, requires not only improved scientific knowledge of human disease and illnesses, but also new forms of dialogue, relations and partnerships across often complex landscapes of contemporary healthcare systems.

On 21 March 2019, at St Anne’s College, Oxford, the first in a series of events identifying major social challenges around personalised medicine was held.

The event was sponsored by the University of Oxford’s Centre for Personalised Medicine and the NIHR Oxford BRC’s Partnership for Health, Wealth and Innovation Theme.

The aim of this workshop was to identify major social challenges surrounding personalised medicine, and develop new knowledge, tools, and solutions about how they might be breached.

Find out about the programme for the event.
