The University of Oxford’s Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences department lead for NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow training, Dr Daniel Lasserson, was honoured as ‘Outstanding Supervisor in Medical Sciences’ at the Oxford University Student’s Union Teaching Awards at the Weston Library.

Nominated by students, outstanding supervisors are supportive of students’ professional development, responsive, enable progression, create a stimulating and challenging research environment and critically engage with their own students’ subject matter.

The award follows Daniel’s recent RCGP John Fry Award for promoting general practice through research and teaching.
