Pelvic pain: diagnosing endometriosis sooner

Wednesday 28 October 2020 at 6:00 pm - 6:45 pm

Decorative imagePelvic pain and fertility problems can be symptoms of many issues. Endometriosis is a common condition that can take 8 to 12 years for proper diagnosis – tissue similar to the womb’s lining grows in the ovaries and fallopian tubes – and few tests exist to distinguish it from other potential causes. University of Oxford Professor, Christian Becker, explains how researchers are analysing blood, saliva, urine and tissue samples to better understand the condition and develop more effective tests.

This event is part of the Health Research and You series of talks from the National Institute for Health Research at IF Oxford 2020.

IF Oxford uses Pay What You Decide ticketing so you can choose to pay whatever you want, or can afford. You can make your donation during booking or after the event and the amount you pay is up to you.
