Partnerships, Planning and Service Provision: Case Studies in Inclusive Research

Thursday 11 June at 10:00 am 11:30 am

Online Training: Partnerships, planning and service provision with Cherish Boxall

This webinar features separate case reflections from researchers and service partners, each sharing real-world examples of inclusive research delivery. Speakers will discuss not only what worked, but also what proved challenging, what required compromise, and where unintended barriers emerged during implementation.

Speaker:
Cherish Boxall, founder of Engage Intelligently, and recipient of two consecutive NIHR Fellowships, brings a behavioural-science lens to over 15 years of experience securing competitive research funding and delivering clinical trials. She specialises in translating evidence on inclusion and participant behaviour into practical, effective strategies. Expect real-world examples, actionable takeaways, and plenty of time at the end of the session for questions.

Details of the webinar:

This session focuses on operational reality:

  • How partnerships were formed and where friction occurred
  • If/ when to start thinking about external service provision
  • What teams would do differently next time

The aim is to provide an honest view of how inclusion has been enabled in practice.

What We Will Explore:

  • The role of early planning in shaping recruitment pathways
  • Tensions between research timelines and the delivery of high-quality, inclusive research.
  • Practical ways that improved representativeness
  • Lessons learned from challenges and missed opportunities

Format:
Case presentations from invited contributors followed by Q&A.

Speakers will reflect candidly on both successes and constraints.
Final contributors will be confirmed closer to the event.
