PPI contributors wanted to shape research study on COPD and Health Anxiety

Posted 17 August 2023 · Listed under Lungs, Mental Health

Patients and public motif, community, protection, public healthWe are conducting a research study to understand the impact that having Health Anxiety may have on someone diagnosed with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). We are after PPI contributors who can offer their time and expertise to read over participant-facing documents and provide feedback. This may include feedback such as changing the wording, how the documents look, or anything else to consider for this research.

If you offer your time, you will be emailed several documents to look over (including the participant information sheet x2, consent form, poster for participant recruitment x2). After looking over these documents, you will write any feedback on areas for change. You can then either email these back to the researcher with your comments, or arrange a phone call/video call to provide verbal feedback. We would also appreciate any general feedback on the research project.

It is expected to take around 1 to 2 hours of your time (depending if you give verbal feedback, which we anticipate would take longer). You will be reimbursed at £15 per hour, for up to 2 hours of your time.

Reimbursement

£15 per hour to PPI contributors, up to a total of £30 for for 2 hours.
