In partnership with Oxfordshire Health Services Research Committee and Oxford University Clinical Academic School funding has been made available to support a number of Clinical Research Career Development Fellowships. These can be of up to 12 months duration, to facilitate doctors undertaking translational research projects to progress to the next stage of their research career. Applicants will be expected to convince the panel that by the end of the Fellowship it will have enabled them to submit an application to an external funding body for a doctoral fellowship, research grant or other Career Development post such as a Clinical Lectureship.
Candidates should have an identified NIHR Oxford Biomedical Research Centre supervisor and translational project in advance of application and should be able to take up post by the end of December 2017.
A full or partial funding award may be made and, depending on which, will cover salary for 12 months full-time although shorter periods and part-time working will also be considered. Additional funding of up to £15,000 may be available to support research and training costs as part of the application process.
Eligibility: Candidates must be medically qualified, should be GMC registered holding an NTN or have completed a recognised Foundation training programme in the UK within the last two years. A strong commitment to excellence and evidence of ability to develop a research project is essential. Salary will be £31,614 – £ 50,669 p.a. (depending on qualifications and experience).
