SUMMARY:NIHR Research for Patient Benefit (RfPB) Programme
DESCRIPTION:The NIHR RfPB programme funds health\, public health and social care research covering a wide range of health service challenges. The aim of the programme is to fund topics and research methodologies that increase the effectiveness of NHS services\, provide value for money and benefit patients. \nThe NIHR is asking for proposals from nurses or midwives at an early stage of their research career as either lead or joint-lead applicants for up to £500\,000 for three years’ funding. \nThis call launches on 25 January and applicants should submit their expression of interest by 21 April 2023\, ahead of the deadline for the submission of the full application on 17 May at 1 pm. \nNIHR will host an online launch event on Monday 16 January. SUMMARY:Research Ideas Launchpad with the Research Design Service
DESCRIPTION:Sessions are aimed at those who are starting out (or thinking about starting out) in research in NHS\, higher education\, local authority or adult social care settings. For all our Launchpads\, we welcome research ideas across health and social care research areas. Alongside these\, in January\, we have a Midwives and Allied Health Professionals theme\, and therefore particularly encourage in these areas to come and discuss their ideas. \nYou can book a session lasting 40 minutes to meet with an RDS adviser to have a friendly chat about your research idea. \nContact Phil Saunders at phillip.saunders@ndph.ox.ac.uk to submit an expression of interest. He will ask you to fill out a brief research ideas form to help our advisers prepare for the meeting.
