SUMMARY:EQUATOR Network short training sessions: Writing an abstract – Patricia Logullo
DESCRIPTION:An article abstract needs to be an accurate well-structured summary and entice your readers to read further. As many readers only have access to the abstract\, and it is often used by journal editors and scientific committees to decide whether to send the article for peer review\, you need to get it spot on. We also talk about selecting key words to complement the language in your abstract and maximise the chance of readers finding your abstract. \n\nAbout EQUATOR Network short training sessions \nJoin the UK EQUATOR Centre’s monthly one-hour practical workshops on all aspects of writing and publishing your academic research! Workshops are held 12:30-13:30\, unless otherwise indicated. While the Botnar Research Centre is closed\, these sessions will be delivered remotely via Teams or Zoom. \nThis free workshop series is open to all staff and students of the University of Oxford\, Oxford Brookes\, and Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. Registration is required. To book onto a session\, for more information\, and to enquire about UK EQUATOR Centre training for your department or group\, please email equator@csm.ox.ac.uk
