DESCRIPTION:This three-day writing retreat is sponsored by the Oxford BRC and is open to all nurses\, midwives and allied health professionals at any career stage\, working at OUH or Oxford University\, who need time and space to focus on writing without interruption. \nWe will provide a mentor to guide you with your writing\, and the workshop will be structured to include regular review and feedback slots. Attendees should commit to submitting an output from the workshop within three months and to attending all three days. \nThe retreat will take place on 16\, 17 and 18 April 2024 at Egrove Park\, Oxford OX1 5NY. The core days will run from 10.00–16.00\, but you can arrive anytime from 8.30 to start writing and stay until 18.00. Lunch and refreshments will be provided on all three days. There is plenty of parking\, the bus number 35 stops outside and it is easily cyclable from Oxford. 20 places available. \nDeadline for applications is 5 February 2024. \nApply through Microsoft forms.

We hope you can join us either in-person or online. \nThis month\, we have Dr Lakshanie Wickramasinghe coming to talk to us about new research for eye disease. Dr Patricia Logullo will be talking about the importance of members of public being involved with researchers to investigate the quality of research itself. Jia-Ling Ruan will be talking about how we can understand cancer biopsies through 3D modelling.
