Each seminar is 20 minutes long followed by 10 minutes of Q&A\, and will be held via Microsoft Teams. These seminars are open to all in the University of Oxford and Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. \nWhat’s a clinical trial? \nProf. Jonathan Cook\, Head of OCTRU Statistics Team \nWednesday 4th September\, 1:00-1:30pm \nThis talk will provide a short introduction to clinical trials starting with the surprising difficulty in defining them.  I will give a brief overview of the history of clinical trials\, and how they have changed and developed over the last 100 years. The basic types (phases) of clinical trials will be reviewed using examples\, why they differ will be considered along with their key features. \nNo registration is required. \nClick here to join the session.
