DESCRIPTION:Empowering early- and mid-career researchers \n\n\n\nStrengthen your career. Build confidence. Grow as a leader. \n\n\n\nThe NIHR BRC: Oxford and ARC: Thames Valley are delighted to launch a new Mentoring Pilot Scheme which supports researchers by fostering career development\, leadership capability\, confidence and cross‑infrastructure connection. \n\n\n\nThis one‑year mentorship programme is designed for early and mid-career researchers \, including final‑year DPhil & PhD students and postdoctoral researchers\, offering tailored guidance from experienced mentors. \n\n\n\nWhat is mentoring? \n\n\n\nMentoring is a voluntary\, supportive partnership where a mentor offers time\, experience and independent guidance to help you navigate challenges\, gain clarity and progress in your career. \n\n\n\nWhy join? \n\n\n\n\nDevelop your career direction\n\n\n\nBuild confidence and leadership skills\n\n\n\nGain objective guidance from experienced researchers\n\n\n\nStrengthen your professional network\n\n\n\nAccess resources and structured support\n\n\n\nEngage in a proactive\, meaningful mentoring relationship\n\n\n\n\nProgramme features \n\n\n\n\nPilot cohort of five to 10 early and mid-career researchers\n\n\n\nUp to one year of mentoring support\n\n\n\nCarefully matched mentor–mentee pairs\n\n\n\nGuidance on establishing aims\, maintaining contact and progressing the partnership\n\n\n\n\nEligibility \n\n\n\n\nOpen to all early-mid career researchers who are aligned to one of the 15 BRC Oxford themes or the ARC; they must be in their final year DPhil or PhD\, or Postdoc.\n\n\n\n\nReady to grow your career? Join a supportive\, structured mentoring community designed to help you thrive as a researcher.
