Researchers in our Partnerships for Health, Wealth and Wellbeing Theme have produced a report, commissioned by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), exploring the evolution of the NIHR’s policy for involving patients and the public in health research since it was established in 2006.

The report, which identified six key themes, highlights the complexity of involving patients and the public in research, and provides a starting point for opening up thinking about the assessment of NIHR’s PPI policy in its next phase of development.
